Fences and wildlife.
Our little patch of paradise is a veritable wildlife wonderland! Wallabies, kangaroos, paddy melons, echidnas, quolls, platypuses, and an orchestra of feathered friends—they all visit our land like we’re the hottest spot in town. Sure, they’re adorable and add a touch of wild charm, but when it comes to starting a nursery, growing a veggie patch, and cultivating an orchard bursting with juicy fruits, it’s clear we needed to lay down the law—literally.
Enter fencing time! Our hero, Brett, bravely rolled up his sleeves and dove into the epic quest of building a fence. Now, this guy had never laid a fence before, but with the kind of determination you’d expect from someone who’s just found out he has an inner carpenter, he managed to do a stellar job. And just to up the ante, he even added a snazzy new front gate.
Voilà! We now have our very own human-exclusive zone and a wildlife-friendly wonderland where they can frolic in peace. Of course, every now and then, I spot curious critters casting longing glances over at our side, probably wondering what all the fuss is about. Do they dream of sneaking in for a taste of our backyard bounty? Who knows! But for now, everyone’s got their own slice of paradise, and that’s what matters.
